This coat can be a tour de force. After Years of Plains wars shirts Lance was looking for something different and interesting to make. These beautiful coats came to mind. They are appropriate for French and Indian as well as Mountain Man and beyond. 


Kit Carson among others was known to have traveled with Delaware companions. 


This coat is brain tan moose body with brain tan deer cuffs and cape. The silk ribbon and beads are traditional and each coat is a one of a kind, some call a work of art.

Eastern Canadian in origin these coats were made by the Naskapi , Montagnais and Cree Indians. Tradition has it that a man needed several wives to do the extensive paint work. Lance mixes his own colors using natural pigments. All the motifs are true to the 1740 - 1820’s.
