Buffalo 70”x54” plus tail
I used this hide modeling for numerous western artists, Tom Lovell, R.S. Riddick, Frank McCarthy and 30 or 40 more. It is light (summer killed) so I could toss it about on a horse or on foot and still wrap me and a woman in it. Try tossing a large full fur hide about on back of horse who has never had anything like that happen to him before. As time went on I added beadwork like one I saw in a Bodmer painting, and the lines and then horses. No artists ever saw or painted it as it is today. Despite thin fur it is still warm.
